ANGELA BOTZ
 
Angela is an Independent Living Specialist/Deaf Services.  She was born deaf with Mondini Deformity in both ears.  She has a cochlear implant since 2006 in her right ear. She still wears hearing aid in her other ear.  She is active as a volunteer for Cochlear America.  Being fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), involves with the Saint Louis DEAFestival 2009, Habitat for Humanity and a Mary Kay Consultant for 7+ years. 
 
She is high energy, leader, professional, careful thinker, friendly, hard-working, creative, outgoing, well-organized and neat, smiles a lot and has passion for life!  Her love of hobbies includes graphic design; painting, fan of Aerosmith and U2, iPod and art/photography.   Her loving husband is deaf and have 2 hearing children. She loves to spend time with her family and many friends.
 
She is excited to be part of IMPACT CIL and to stress our mission to ensuring that we bring greater access and equality to deaf and hard of hearing people Illinoisians.  She loves to help people with disabilities to meet their needs.  This always has been her passion to make them feel important, more independent in society and to have self-esteem and self-confidence.
